Rules for the Game
*Please keep in mind for all games offered, playoff holes are not counted in a users score*
*Users are responsible for knowing when players selected have withdrawn or are not playing for any reason. Once a tournament starts all line-ups are final and cannot be edited*
*When a contest does not meet the minimum entry requirement, the game will be cancelled and all entries will receive a full refund*
THE TRADITIONAL OG (The OG)
- THE GAME (Offered for full 3-4 round events and 2 round weekend events)
- Users will enter a team of 10 golfers into The Traditional OG. Unofficial prizes will be posted when the game opens but are not awarded until the golf tournament is deemed official at the conclusion of the event. Once a tournament is ruled official, prizes will be allocated according to the specific game details of the contest entered.
- TEAM SELECTION
- Golfers are grouped into 5 tiers by their skill level and/or world golf ranking. You will select your team of 10 golfers by choosing;
- 1 golfer from Group A
- 2 golfers from Group B
- 2 golfers from Group C
- 3 golfers from Group D
- 2 golfers from Group E
- Golfers are grouped into 5 tiers by their skill level and/or world golf ranking. You will select your team of 10 golfers by choosing;
- SCORING
- Your overall team score will be determined by the cumulative score of your best 5 golfers over the entirety of the golf tournament. (If the event is shortened for any reason but deemed an official result, all results are final)
- The teams that score the least points will place higher in the event. Teams will be ranked from the lowest scoring team to the highest scoring team. Example;
- 1st Place: Team A -25 points
- 2nd Place: Team B -23 points
- 3rd Place: Team C -12 points
- 4th Place: Team D -2 points
- 5th Place: Team E 0 points
- 6th Place: Team F 4 points
- Golfers score points by the statistic on each individual hole they play.
- Double Eagle = -3 points
- Eagle = -2 points
- Birdie = -1 point
- Par = 0 points
- Bogie = 1 point
- Double Bogie = 2 points
- Triple Bogie = 3 points
- Quadruple Bogie = 4 points
- Quintuple Bogie = 5 points
- 6 over par = 6 points
- 7 over par = 7 points
- TIEBREAKER RULES: If two or more teams are tied when using their top 5 golfers cumulative score, the tiebreaker will be broken by going to the team’s 6th best golfer. The team that has the best 6th place golfer will be determined to place higher. If the 6th place golfers are tied, the team’s 7th place golfer will determine which team places higher. If the 6th and 7th place golfers are tied, the 8th place golfer will determine which team places higher. If the 6th, 7th and 8th place golfers are tied, the 9th place golfer will determine which team places higher. If the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th place golfers are tied, the 10th place golfer will determine which team places higher.
- In the event that Team A only has 5 golfers make the cut and Team B has 6 golfers make the cut, Team B would automatically win the tiebreaker.
- In the event that Team A and Team B tie and their 6th place golfers tie, if Team A has no remaining golfers and Team B does, Team B wins the tiebreaker
- In the event that Team A and Team B tie and their 6th and 7th place golfers tie, if Team A has no remaining golfers and Team B does, Team B wins the tiebreaker
- In the event that Team A and Team B tie and their 6th, 7th and 8th place golfers tie, if Team A has no remaining golfers and Team B does, Team B wins the tiebreaker
- In the event that Team A and Team B tie and their 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th place golfers tie, if Team A has no remaining golfers and Team B does, Team B wins the tiebreaker
- In the event that Team A and Team B tie and their 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th place golfers tie, the result will be determined as an OFFICIAL TIE and prizes split.
SURVIVE AND ADVANCE GAME (S&A Game)
- THE GAME
- Users will enter a team of 10 golfers into the Survive and Advance game and compete to advance through 3-4 individual rounds, where each round is scored independent of the others. Unofficial prizes will be posted when the game opens but are not awarded until the round in play is deemed official. Once the tournament (or individual round) is ruled official, prizes will be allocated according to the specific game details of the contest entered.
- At the conclusion of every round, half of the advertised entry field will advance and half of the advertised entry field will be eliminated. Those advancing will have the opportunity to earn prizes based on the stated details in the specific game rules.
- In the final round, the remaining users will compete for the prizes stated in the specific game rules.
- In the event that a tournament is shortened for any reason, but deemed an official result, the last played round will determine the final game results. Prizes will be allocated based on the specific game rules.
- EXAMPLE;
- Round 1 64 entries Top 32 advance/Bottom 32 eliminated
- Scores reset after round 1 for the top 32 that advanced
- Round 2 32 remain Top 16 advance/Bottom 16 eliminated
- Scores reset after round 2 for the top 16 that advanced
- Round 3 16 remain Top 8 advance/Bottom 8 eliminated
- Scores reset after round 3 for the top 8 that advanced
- Round 4 8 remain to compete for prizes stated in game details
- Round 1 64 entries Top 32 advance/Bottom 32 eliminated
